This is The LayMusic – one layman’s perspective of the Australian music scene. I’m an industry outsider, an avid fan, and I’ve spent the last six months wondering what I can do to support our local musicians and venues.

I’m doing what I can - going to gigs, buying CDs, repping the merch - but I want to inspire others to do the same. We're spoilt for choice in this country, with so many diverse sounds and talented artists who are constantly hitting the road to treat us to a great night out.

I hope this blog will inspire you to find a new band to fall in love with, get yourself to a gig, or share your love for our local music scene in your own way!
